Color wheel button for meshes function? [Solved]

I discovered a button at the mesh tab. It is positioned under Mesh->Mesh and then the 3rd and last button of that row. It represents a color wheel with a little checkmark. Anyone know what it's purpose is? I can only figure out that is has to do with shading and changing the selected color.

it's of change the color of all mesh selected

- select your color
-choose your mesh (or select all)
-click on the tool
and tadam ! the mesh selected change of color !

Tool tip text is displayed on bottom left corner of app in footer.

This button is actually tinting the selected mesh. It's like multiplying a color with the texture color without changing the texture.
