Selecting multiple elements IN VIEWPORT

Post by KenshowHD » 12 Dec 2016, 02:55

It has been quite frustrating to select each individual element and uv mapping one by one. I know you can select alot of elements at once in the Elements List but you cant pick and skip which elements you want selected in deselected,

Can you make it so you can UV map multiple elements at once? also make it so we can shift click the elements in viewport so we can pick specific elements we want.

If these features were added, something that took 10 hours to model would have taken only 2 hours. Seriously. Image

That took me tons of unnecessary work, would have been 10x easier if i can select specific elements in the viewport. I had to click on every single element that made up that phone and manually UV map every single one of them

Also modeling something over 2,000 elements is nearly impossible in a way.

1. You can select more than one element in any view with Right Ctrl + left click

2. You can select more than one element by drawing a selection rectangle around them on any 2D view with Right Shift + left click

3. By looking at your model, I think you have UV Mapped the screen. Knowing it's a voxel model, the best way to do that, is to keep the screen empty and directly create an element in the blank space. Then you just have to UV map that element to get the screen texture.

4. Something is on todolist to help UV map multiple elements at once but nothing done yet ;)
