A way which would produce less polygons is by using same technique but positioning origin on the middle of each element (instead of border).
Also, before rotating elements, be sure to remove hidden faces to create less polygons.

I also do a method to decide the rotation axis, but I chose an easy method.Sphax wrote: 11 Dec 2016, 12:35 A way which would produce less polygons is by using same technique but positioning origin on the middle of each element (instead of border).

That's cool to see such video in a short format. The 1st method is nice to create tubes and second to create cylinders.
The 2 videos you made are showing how easy it is now to rotate elements thank to v2.4.

You can increase the accuracy of the shape by using 5.028 instead of 5 for the length of elements, this way the elements will line up much better with each other.

Your addon is using meshes. The videos @akkechi made are useful if users want to keep the clean/smooth/lowpoly aspect which can't be get after a voxelization.
@akkechi your 3rd video is private
