Issues Opening Cubik (Black Screen)

Post by Craftological » 06 Apr 2018, 17:16

Hey,

I am having issues opening Cubik on my Windows 10 PC - I downloaded the software after a PC reset, unzipped the folder & whenever I try to run any of the exe files provided, I get a black screen. Nothing happens if I wait, I have tried running it as administrator & I get the same issue. What can I do to fix this?

Thanks in advance! :)

Create a file or folder and rename it « debug » then launch Cubik, wait a bit and then close the app.
If you get a log file, attach its content here...

I created a debug folder inside of the Cubik folder & have run the software multiple times; I let it sit on the black screen for awhile before closing the application, the debug folder remains empty. Any other suggestions?

What are your specs?

- OS
- RAM
- GraphicCard
- CPU

Also why your forum account doesn’t have any valid serial registered?

Try updating the drivers for your graphic card if you can. If that's not possible or don't fix the issue, try the software on another computer with a dedicated GC (requirement: DX9 shader model 3.0, DX11 level 9.3 capabilities and/or OpenGL 3.3+)

Also if you are on a 64 bits system, try downloading the 32 bits version of Cubik and launch updater to check if you also gets a black screen.

If still doesn't work, please paste in a spoiler here what dxdiag tells you.
