Hello all,
I was wondering if there is a way to keep the aspect ratio of textures more easily when UV mapping. My textures become stretched very easily and the only way to fix this seems to be resetting the whole map of every face on the element. Any help?

Automatic UV stretches texture by default because there's no other way to guess where texture should be mapped automatically.
If you use a non square texture, then you'll have to UV map manually

Ah, I understand now. Thanks.
Is there a way to quickly reset the UV map of the selected face so that I can simply resize the element to get the correct ratio? I know that elements start out with the correctly sized UV map but if I resize an element the UV map stays the same which stretches the texture.

You can re-enable automatic UV mapping with elements list functions and you can force recalculating UV map (without enabling automatic UV mapping) with a button in element edit mode
