Can't figure out how to make blocks texture show instead of other block which is in same spot

how do i make a texture appear over top of a different texture? i want to put a design on my model, and i did it by making the design and now i'm going to move the design blocks into the model to make it flat against it, but i cant figure out how to make it appear instead of the other textures in the same place
maybe theres a better way for me to do what i'm doing aswell?

You have to import the texture in the bottom right corner or replace it by double clicking "texture".
