loading previous .cubik file messing up UV Mapping

Post by mrbysco » 09 Nov 2016, 18:30

I recently made this:

and have it saved.

But when I reopen it in Cubik Studio the uv mapping messes up making it look like

I have no clue what is happening here. It also happens sometimes when I try to move an element.

It looks like the UV snap option of some elements have been re-activated for unknown reason, making the UV to be refreshed.

I would need to know how you created the model and how I can reproduce the issue to see if that's a bug or not and how I can fix it. Can you reproduce the issue yourself?

I am able to reproduce this issue.
I have recorded the issue and uploaded it unlisted to Youtube if you want to see.
Maybe you are able to tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Hope it will clear up confusion as to what I am doing.

OK, I get the issue. :D

It's "bug" with the way you use things. That will be fixed in next update. Basically you are copying UVs and pasting it on other tiles. But the property "UV snap" which is ON by default is still on on the blocks with UV pasted on. The fix will be to disable UV snap automatically when UV is pasted on. ;)

To improve your workflow and work around the bug, you should create your blocks in advance with right texture and name and then use "Alt + Left click" to clone them and put in place. ;)
You can also clone more than one element at a time by selecting several ones at once and then go in Elements list and with right click select "Clone"

Thanks for the record.
