UV Texture Mapping Question - Can't Resize Texture Selection

Hello!

I have been having some trouble in the texture UV mapping editor. I am only wanting to select part of a texture (so the fast UV mapping options won't work for this). However, when I click on the selection box, I am unable to click and drag it to resize the texture selection. I am working on a Mac. Is there a keyboard shortcut I'm missing to be able to adjust the size of the selection box?

Right-click, then drag-drop
