Bigger backgrounds for views [Solved]

Forgive me if this already possible, but I wouldn't mind having a way to set a background for a view that can reach to -16,+32 limits.
I often make models that are larger than the block size and scale them down afterwards, so I don't have to do so much zooming all the time.
Now that I think about it, being able to zoom in closer would be nice as well.
