Using Models Created by Other Model Makers
Using Models Created by Other Model Makers
I need assistance with opening 3D .json models created with MrCrayfish's Model Maker. It is in standard Minecraft .json form so I suspected Cubik Studio would have been able to open up the model. I have a sniper model I'm trying to open in Cubik Studio but it stays blank every time I Open/Import. If anybody could help, it will be greatly appreciated.

Attach the .json and textures you try to import here.
Without that we can't help

Re: Using Models Created by Other Model Makers
I added the .json file into the same file as the textures and it seems to be working now, but one more question -- how do I make the views (Third person, First person, GUI, etc.) look nice in 1.8?

You're not the only one having this bug. I have spoken a lot of people who have had this problem.
All since the last update (2.7 I think).
Another bug that I saw is that I cannot assign a texture to a new model that is being imported from the 'resourcepacks' folder in '.minecraft'.
But when I copy it to my desktop, it does work.
I tried this as well with the JSON model(s), buuuut it didn't work.
I am not getting any error's either so, can't really share any of that.
The model doesn't cause this, I have made a VERY simple model in cubik PRO, saved it to my desktop and even then it didn't import it. Only the texture NAME, not the actual texture. It just gives me a purple checker texture.
But for some reason, this does all work when I export it FROM Cubik Studio.
In other words, since the update, it only imports models made in Studio.
Would love to get this fixed, because I really need it ^-^

As I said, please attach a JSON here that Cubik can't import and I'll have a look

I can't really share the model but I think it has something to do with acces restrictions.
When I make a model in Pro and save it to my desktop, I can import it in Studio.
But when I export it in Pro directly to the resourcepacks folder, I cannot import it in Studio.
Can I send you the model via a PM instead please?
