In the gui preview add an image to show how it looks ingame  [Solved]

Post by CptJackSwagg3r » 02 Jan 2017, 00:19

Hello! as most of you know the gui preview doesn't give a very accurate portrayal of how an item will look in a players inventory/gui in game, that is mostly because the image is compressed into a 32x32 image. http://imgur.com/a/HydMn here is a picture of the gui preview compared to how it looks ingame.

If there was a preview of how it looked in game it would help me out a lot because i really want to make sure that my weapons look appealing in the inventory, right now in order to see how they look i have to close/launch minecraft many times and since my laptop is pretty slow the time it takes adds up very fast

It's hard to do that because the Resolution depends on your Screen Resolution and Gui settings.
For me it's for example: 64x64
Minecraft renders the Item at the highest possible resolution that is possible on your screen.

well maybe there can be multiple image previews then i.e 32x, 64x. having this option would reallly help me out or anyone who wants to know how their model would look in the gui/inventory. for me personally its very important because i would really like to get the best possible look but right now it is very difficult because i have to constantly restart my client to see how it looks ingame
