Gui(under display settings) changes place on screen depending on screen resolution

Post by CptJackSwagg3r » 14 Jul 2017, 12:27

Its a little complicated but basically I made a model were i changed the gui settings so that when it is in your inventory that it shows up right in the middle of your screen, but it only shows up on the middle of my screen for the resolution that i created it in (1920 x 1080). And when i lowered my resolution by display settings/minimizing page the model on the screen moved up/down (see uploaded pics). you will see two boxes on the screen, the one in the middle is my model when it is held in the right hand, in all the pics that model stays in the middle of the screen. So if there was a way to set it so that it stays in the same spot no matter what resolution that would make me very happy!! Honestly tho i'm not sure that there is a way to fix it, even if it was an added feature or something

I'm having trouble uploading more than 3 images so here's an imgur http://imgur.com/a/JXyXU

I would honestly pay someone like 50 bucks if they figured out how to fix this

I don't think this is possible to put a model in middle of screen no matter the game resolution.

One way I think about is by using the GUI slot but even with that he position would change depending on UI size.

(thanks for replying)I Was able to get the model in the middle of the screen(its the box on the right) http://i.imgur.com/FY4EkVs.png i did it by messing around with the scale option. The black box on the left is an item im holding, I did this because i wanted to show that even when you change the resolution size, that item stays in the middle of the screen unlike the box on the right. if you could check out this imgur i think it would explain a lot http://imgur.com/a/JXyXU it shows how the gui model stays in the middle of the screen(3rd pic down) @1920 x 1080 because that's the resolution i created it on. The pics below that are of other resolutions and it shows that the gui model changes place depending on the resolution(unlike the black box on the left that is in my hand slot). Lastly the 1st picture in the imgur page shows the settings that i used to get the black box directly to the middle of the screen.
I think it's important to not that if I made the gui model on 1366×768 res than the model would show up in the middle of the screen for anyone playing on 1366×768 but will be in a different spot for any other resolution, i tested this a few times

I didn't say that it was impossible but I said it is probably impossible to do that no matter the window size or resolution of game with model placed in hotbar (gui).

Positioning a model in middle of screen when item is hold in hand is probably possible but then the model will move with arm (with a lerp effect/delay)
