Element Color Interferes with Texture [Solved]
Element Color Interferes with Texture
I'm trying to use the paint tool to texture my model, which is in the element format. The colors are all distorted based on the color of the element, how do I change this? Am I forced to use UV mapping even though the paint tool exists?

Re: Element Color Interferes with Texture
If textures are distorted, that means your model is badly UV mapped.
You can ask Cubik to generate a nicely UV mapped texture so you can paint on it directly afterwards.
To do so, go in Elements textures list (Material Manager) > ... > Create atlas, blank textures
If you want to change its resolution, you'll have to save that texture, resize it and reload it.

I had already done this. Do I have to edit the texture in the UV map itself? I can't use the paint tool on the model directly (like it seems to be there for)?Sphax wrote: 23 Jun 2017, 06:48 If textures are distorted, that means your model is badly UV mapped.

Re: Element Color Interferes with Texture [Solved]
Why would you not be able to paint directly on elements if the atlas has already been generated?
If you are talking about the random tint applied to each element, you can disable it in preferences.

Thank you so much, it never crossed my mind that was just a visual aid for elements (Not use to voxel based modelling haha). Thanks again!Sphax wrote: 23 Jun 2017, 21:43 Why would you not be able to paint directly on elements if the atlas has already been generated?
