Hi, now in our beloved Cubik Studio, there are export models to Java, which allows us to do mobs, armor, and more. But to make a model of armor, you need to see the model of the player or someone else. As the models are exported to ModelBase, which is not suitable for moving models.
First Idea:
Add button select the type of the model: "ModelBiped" and "ModelBase".
Second Idea:
Should be a button (only for Minecraft) "Choose the Model Type". If the selected Biped will be created as character in the screenshot. If Base is empty.
Armor Example:
P.s. If not difficult, then it is advisable if you export to remove the abstract model.
Third idea:
Since Java exporter models or who have not tested, suggest to the new release, test build. To recruit testers and to give them the test builds.
Abstract entity for modelling armor and other ideas. [Solved]
Re: Abstract entity for modelling armor and other ideas. [Solved]
Abstract models could be done with voxels, so they can't be edited by mistake when moving other elements and will not be exported for Json or Java formats.
Those base models could be done and shared by the Cubik community.

We still need parenting for this, otherwise you cannot do arm parts as they wouldn't animate.

Abstract models don't need parenting, they are just like guides to help making a model.
Parenting (hierarchy) for elements is planned and will be in the work in future version as you know anyway
