I unzipped the minecraft jar looking for the vanilla player model but I didn't find it, I'd like to try to make a new model but I prefer to start from the vanilla one as reference.
How can I import the minecraft player model into cubik? Can cubik automatically render different pose of the model too?

Re: Vanilla MC player model
You need optifine to change Player/Entity Models. You need to model them in cubik studio, and export as JPM.Maxiride wrote: ↑27 Jan 2017, 13:31 I unzipped the minecraft jar looking for the vanilla player model but I didn't find it, I'd like to try to make a new model but I prefer to start from the vanilla one as reference.

Re: Vanilla MC player model
I know optifine is needed, however to avoid making the model from scratch I wanted to know if somewhere there is already the vanilla mc model to import into cubik for editing.CaptainGalax wrote: ↑27 Jan 2017, 14:29You need optifine to change Player/Entity Models. Same applies for other entities like zombies\mobs etc, I'd like to start from the vanilla model in cubik and then play around with the modifications.
However I'm not managing to find such models to import.

The mob/entity models are hardcoded in minecraft. You have to make it yourself. But thats easy pz

On the other hand then how could I design some armor without a player model for reference? I saw that the preview panel allows to position a model on the hands or the head, what about chest\legs?
Do I have to use the rotation\translation\scale tools to move a model on such parts of the body?

Re: Vanilla MC player model [Solved]
The Minecraft models have the size corresponding to the number of pixels in textures.
For example, a player head is 8x8x8
