Exporting for 1.8.

Hello, all!

I have a discovery that one of my friends, KingExcalibur found on the well-known server called Hypixel found. It allows you to export Cubik Studio .json models for 1.8. Everyone thinks that 1.9 changes the way display settings actually work. This is not the case. It was changed to allow for an off-hand to work. The "firstperson" in a normal 1.8 .json file was changed in 1.9 to "firstperson_righthand" and "firstperson_lefthand" was added.
Once you have exported your model, open the file up with a program such as TextEdit/TextWrangler or Notepad++.

Then scroll down to the bottom and change "firstperson_righthand" and "thirdperson_righthand" to just "firstperson" and "thirdperson.

Thank you for reading. I do not claim credit for this as that KingExcalibur found it, not me.

This isn't true.
1.9+
1.9+
1.8
1.8
This is a model that I changed from 1.9 to 1.8, as you can see display settings actually changed.
The reason that Cubik Studio can't export to 1.8 is because the way that display values affect items has changed, both of these have the same display values, yet they display very differently.
It's not enough just to change "thirdperson_righthand" to "thirdperson", you would need to actually edit the display values themselves for models to display the same in 1.8 and 1.9+.
