1.8 Models not working

My models work in 1.9+ and look/function perfectly fine.

All i can find is people saying "Use BDCubik PRO 1.8, i have Cubik Studio and they say "there are 2 ,exe's" but there just isn't.
Does Cubik Studio just not work for 1.8 anymore? is there something i should change? Did i buy the wrong programme? I'm really confused right now so please someone, just help me! :D

1.8 and 1.9 have a completely different structure when it comes to models, which is why your models will work in 1.9 and 1.10 as well as any version above (unless they choose to change the model structuring AGAIN), but won't work in 1.8.

^ That basically means: Yeah, Cubik Studio doesn't work for 1.8.

Finally, when people say "Use Cubik PRO 1.8" and "There are 2 .exe's", they're talking about the old version of Cubik; Cubik PRO. There were 2 .exe's, one for 1.8 models and one for 1.9 and above models. No, you didn't buy the program, no, there's nothing you should or need to change, 1.8 just isn't supported anymore.

Hope that clears things up! ;)

Cubik Studio do not export models for 1.8 but the only difference between 1.8 and 1.9+ models are the display settings.
As long as you do not use or rely on those settings, everything should be fine.

I'm not sure what you mean by display settings but when i do use 1.8 with the models i have made in f5 mode the item does not display correctly.I'm also not sure if the model updates in first person either when i change its size and oreintation or whatever.

The display settings are exactly what you're having issues with. The display of the model in the game.

They changed quite a bit between 1.8 and 1.9. Mostly to do with the hands.

You'd have to fix them manually, yes. You could probably just refer to whatever Minecraft uses by default by looking in the JSON files from inside the minecraft.jar and use those settings.
