But I have purchased Studio, and the updater says I need a serial number.

What is your issue exactly? Saying "that not helped me" doesn't mean anything and we can't help with such details on the issue you have without knowing what it is.

My problem is, I was never a Cubik pro owner, and when I bought studio, I did not recieve a serial number, and the updater is asking me for one. I really want to use this software!

It will allow you to activate the product in case of missing email. Hope that will help and sorry for the misunderstanding.

This only tells me how to use or recover my serial number. My problem is that I never got a serial number in the first place, and I need one to use the application.
