How to export an optimized Obj?

Post by Grimmy » 27 Apr 2018, 12:14

HI all. When I hit 'apply culling' it says faces were removed but nothing actually happens. When I load the object in my modelling software (C4D) the model is not optimized.

I'm just trying to export 2 overlapping elements. (non rotated boxes)

How do I do it? Cheers

Culling is in reference too Minecrafts culling system were it removes faces that wont be seen when blocks are placed. Its not in reference to the amount of faces on the model its self. If you want to optimise it you need to click the one next too with the x symbol, but if your model is just 2 simple boxes intersecting then I doubt that any faces will be removed.

If you want to remove parts of faces that wont be seen you'll have to do some external work outside of Cubik.
