How can you select multiple elements in the newest version? Previously you could draw a selection box with RightControl, can't figure out how to do it anymore and can't find anything in the preferences either.

This should be a rather obvious thing, but I just can't figure it out.

How can I select and rotate/move multiple elements?

My guess was selecting one element pressing shift and adding another one to the selection, but that doesn't work out for me.
Also can't seem to find anything in the dropdown ...

I've tried all different methods I found to hide and show elements, but even if only one element is selected, the everything gets hidden. Same goes for lock/unlock.

To make sure this was not just me messing up somehow I've asked other people about this and they seem to have that problem aswell.
