Voxelizing my mesh screws up my model

Why does it do this? It's a perfectly 16x16 model (16 cm) which should be correct dimensions with bdcraft, but when I voxilize it does a weird expanding thing.

very stumped. Anyone know a fix? I'm trying to import Minecraft items I made in c4d(obj) and it just screws up the model when I convert
