Preview Skin Won't Change [Solved]

Over the past few days the skin in the preview won't change for me, regardless of what username I set it to.

I'm stuck with this robot guy!


Even though it is set to display my skin in Preferences.

My mistake Ibused a non working website to check your skin online...

Is your skin uses the square texture (new format) or rectangle texture (old format)?

Cubik only support new format

My skin is the new square 64x64 format.

I was going to try to reinstall Cubik but the download link for Mac does not seem to be working. I just get a cubic_updater_mac.zip.download but it never finishes downloading.

You are right. It looks like URL to get Minecraft skins has changed on Mojang/microsoft side...

for me this is happening but its not just cubik. minersneedcoolshoes and novaskin don't recognize my skin either. in game with my friends they see my skin and i see my skin but in any program that searches for it online they revert to the default. i search my friends skins too and there is nothing yet in game they have skins too. i'm not sure whats up with it.

Minecraft.net doesn't support getting skins by name anymore. That's why Cubik 2.9 can't get the skin anymore. It's fixed in 2.10
