If you are talking about the disappearing face of the adjacent block to a custom 3D model, if the custom 3D model is on a non transparent block: you can't fix it, it's due to "culling" which exist to optimize the rendering of the 3D engine.
To work around the issue:
1) Make a custom 3D model which does not let the user see from 1 face to another face (in a cube)
2) Use a transparent block to put your custom 3D model, such as stairs, leaves, glass, glass panes, iron bars, carpets, ...
